OBJECTIVE
The Hawai‘i Perinatal Resource Project bridges gaps among professionals to elevate patient care across the islands. To support this mission, the client required a distinctive and memorable identity to establish a sense of belonging and reliability. The resulting brand serves as a foundation for a community of providers built on shared knowledge and support.
INSPIRATION
The ‘ōhi‘a flower is a symbol of cultural importance and resilience. Traditionally, the ‘ōhi‘a was used medicinally—the wood and leaves would be made into a tea to ease the pain of childbirth, as well as infant ailments. A hidden element is the humpback whale, as humpback mothers have an intense bond to nurse and prepare their calves—qualities Pūlama Perinatal Resources hopes to aid mothers and families with.
